St. Anthony Park Branch Library Children’s Programming

Sponsored, in part, by funds contributed by SAPBLA

Family Storytime

The St. Anthony Park Library offers weekly family storytime - outdoors at College Park in warm weather, and indoors in the library's auditorium in cold weather - for children aged birth to five, their caregivers, and siblings.  Storytime incorporates stories, songs, rhymes, and puppets, all designed to encourage early literacy learning.

Shake Your Sillies Out

This program gives little ones aged two to five, with an adult caregiver, a venue for large movement, coupled with stories and lots of social interaction.  Little ones can jump, crawl, balance, and twirl with activities specifically designed for them.

Fun Lab

This STEAM drop-in program offers kids, aged 7-11, an opportunity to hang out and make cool stuff.  Each week kids can explore crafts, science experiments, engineering projects, video games, and more.

Paw Pals

This program gives young readers, aged 6-12, an opportunity to build reading confidence by reading aloud to one of two gentle dogs, Enzo or Sadie, in a cozy corner of the library.

Special Events

SAPBLA also supports special events for children at the library. For example, in the summer of 2023, the library hosted a Summer Spark end of the summer celebration and in January 2024, a puppet show by Seth Elerbe.
